Built on the Cape Fear River, the climate and the region offer opportunities for hiking, fishing, golf, water sports, camping, museums, historic sites, and much more with a growing economy to support indoor adventures as well.The Fayetteville NC VA Coastal Health Care provides health care services to approximately 157,000 Veterans in a 21-county area of southeastern North Carolina. The Fayetteville VAMC is a general medicine, surgery, and mental health facility. It is a Complexity level 2 medical center and is authorized 58 general medical, surgical, and mental health beds. It also maintains a 69-bed long-term care unit.Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities (listed are included but not limited to):Will be responsible and accountable for assessment, diagnosis, and management of patient problems, including prescription of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic intervention.The scope of practice of a nurse practitioner includes, but is not limited to, each of the following: Advanced practice registered nursing by certified nurse practitioners is based on knowledge and skills acquired throughout an advanced practice registered nurse's nursing education, training, and experience.Advanced nursing patient assessment and diagnosis.Ordering diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, performing those tests and procedures when using health care equipment, and interpreting and using the results of diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures ordered by the advanced practice registered nurse or another health care professional.Ordering treatments, ordering, or applying appropriate medical devices, and using nursing, medical, therapeutic, and corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status.Providing palliative and end-of-life care.Providing advanced counseling, patient education, health education, and patient advocacy.Nurse Practitioner Requirements:Must have a Master's degree in nursing.Must have a current and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.Must be certified by the AANP.Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from a provider recognized by the American Heart Association.Must have a minimum of five years of experience.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
