Job Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a critical or emergency department setting
• Conduct airway management and respiratory treatments including extubation and intubation assistance
• Perform nasal and oral airway placements, suctioning, and sputum specimen collection
• Manage tracheostomy care and provide ventilator management including troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Document patient care using a computerized system
• Ensure ongoing communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams

Qualifications

• Education: Valid State License required
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care environment; previous charge experience is not required
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Skills: Experience in adult critical care, emergency department settings, ventilator management, and various respiratory therapy techniques

Travel Requirements

• Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

References

Two references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required, which can include Charge RNs or Lead personnel.
