The Director of Civil Engineering provides senior technical leadership over property-wide civil infrastructure systems, including water supply and distribution, wastewater and sewage treatment, stormwater management, drainage, utilities, site development, and regulatory compliance. This role supports future infrastructure planning and ensures operational readiness across one of the region's most complex private properties.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of civil systems, including water supply and distribution, wastewater and sewage treatment, stormwater management and drainage infrastructure, roadways, bridges, parking areas, site grading, retaining walls, pathways, and outdoor public spaces
• Manage capital improvement projects, including site development, infrastructure upgrades, and expansions from planning and design through construction and closeout
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with engineering standards, building codes, environmental regulations, and industry best practices
• Lead initiatives related to water and sewer compliance, stormwater permitting, erosion control, and environmental sustainability, including data collection, inspections, testing, and reporting to regulatory agencies
• Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs for civil assets to maximize lifespan, safety, and operational efficiency, and perform inspections, surveys, and condition assessments with recommendations for corrective actions and capital improvements
• Support long-term master planning efforts, including land development, zoning considerations, and infrastructure expansion strategies

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, infrastructure management, or site development, including leadership experience
• Professional Engineer [PE] license preferred
• Experience with water/sewage systems and environmental compliance strongly preferred
• Experience leading teams of 30+ employees or cross-functional engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of: water and wastewater systems, stormwater management and drainage design, site grading, erosion control, and land development, and local, state, and federal codes
