Our technology team powers the digital backbone of Ford Pro, enabling smarter fleet management and customer engagement through platforms like Salesforce CRM.The Salesforce Software Engineering Director is a senior technical leadership role responsible for guiding the architecture, integration, and delivery of Salesforce CRM solutions across Ford Pro's product ecosystem. This role combines deep technical expertise in Salesforce and MuleSoft with a servant leadership mindset to foster collaboration, drive platform consistency, and ensure strategic alignment across product groups.ResponsibilitiesTechnical Architecture & DeliveryArchitect scalable, secure, and performant Salesforce CRM solutions aligned with Salesforce.com Standard Practices and Ford Pro's Common Engineering Policies (CEP), including API standards, logging norms, and release management.Lead MuleSoft integration strategies to connect Salesforce with internal and external systems.Drive Agile product development practices using JIRA to manage backlog, sprints, releases, and retrospectives.Validate and refine target state architectures through usability testing, performance/load testing, and continuous improvement.Servant Leadership & CollaborationAct as a consensus builder across other Ford Pro product groupsFacilitate alignment on technical decisions, team allocations, and product lifecycle transitions.Promote transparency and shared accountability using progress reporting tools and OKRsChampion Community of Practice (CoP) principles to ensure consistency in engineering and product management practices.Financial Acquisition & Resource PlanningSupport financial and headcount forecasting through collaborative internal processes and related tools.Align product investments with strategic priorities and ensure efficient resource allocation.Participate in Tech Council reviews for budget approvals and product lifecycle decisions.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field or a combination of education and experience12+ years of experience in enterprise CRM platforms, with at least 7 years in Salesforce architecture and development.Salesforce Platform Architecture (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud)MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (API design, RAML, connectors, orchestration)RESTful API design and versioningCI/CD pipelines and release management, Copado PreferredLogging and monitoring standards (aligned with Ford Pro's CEP)Cloud architecture validation and performance/load testingUsability testing and persona-driven designGit-based source control and repository managementTool proficiency: JIRA, Microsoft Teams, MiroFramework fluency: Salesforce Well-Architected FrameworkCloud platform expertise: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud platform for hybrid and scalable integrations3+ years of experience with MuleSoft integration and API-led connectivityProven experience leading cross-functional technical teams in Agile environmentsStrong understanding of financial acquisition and resource planning processesDemonstrated ability to lead through influence and build consensus across diverse teamsNice to haveSalesforce Certified Application ArchitectSalesforce Certified System ArchitectSalesforce Certified Integration Architecture DesignerOther Salesforce Designer CertificationsMuleSoft Certified AssociateGoogle Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or other public cloud certificationsYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
