Lab Technician

Overview Our client, an industry leader in the energy sector, is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the quality assurance and control department supporting laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Lab Technician Location: On-site at Channahon, Illinois Pay Range: 25-30/hr Shift: Rotating 12 hour swing shift What\'s the Job? Perform routine and non-routine laboratory analysis and wet chemistry on product and in-process samples to support plant operations. Support laboratory supervisors and chemists by preparing samples and ensuring accurate data collection and record-keeping. Calibrate and maintain laboratory test equipment to ensure precision and reliability. Utilize analytical instruments to address quality assurance and control issues effectively. Prepare chemical stock solutions and reagents, adhering to standard operating procedures. What\'s Needed? Polytechnic graduate with a background in Chemical, Process, or Technical Engineering. Proficiency in computer applications and laboratory software. Preferable experience in quality control systems within a manufacturing or processing environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work in a rotating 12-hour swing shift schedule on-site. What\'s in it for me?
