Sales Engineer

Our client is seeking a technically driven Sales Engineer to manage and grow a broad customer territory supporting advanced industrial thermal processing equipment. This role combines consultative technical sales, customer relationship management, and engineering collaboration to deliver customized manufacturing solutions for clients across multiple industries. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of travel, technical problem-solving, and business development within a highly collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the full sales cycle for industrial equipment solutions, from initial customer engagement through proposal development and final order closure Conduct customer visits throughout an assigned geographic territory to understand manufacturing processes and recommend tailored solutions Partner with internal engineering teams to support application reviews, technical discussions, and solution development Prepare and deliver technical proposals, product presentations, and consultative recommendations to prospective and existing clients Provide both pre-sale and post-sale technical support to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction Translate customer operational requirements into practical equipment and process solutions Develop and maintain strong long‑term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities Support cross‑functional initiatives involving sales, engineering, and project execution teams Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical business practices in all customer interactions Travel regularly throughout the territory to support customer meetings, installations, and business development efforts (approximately 50% travel)

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical sales, preferably involving capital equipment or industrial systems Strong ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to customers and internal teams Experience supporting consultative sales processes and solution‑based selling methodologies Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with engineering and project teams Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities and priorities simultaneously Willingness to travel extensively throughout an assigned territory
