Key Position Details: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period) 8-hour day shift No weekends Job Description: Collaborates with lead provider(s) in the shared accountability for daily operations and overall clinic performance. In primary care clinics, supports the delivery of care at a large or multispecialty clinic that support more than 80,000 annual visits. Principle Responsibilities Leadership (of staff and providers). Recruits, selects and onboards high talent staff, leaders and providers. Manages staff and leaders' performance. Works with clinician leader to communicate and engage staff, leaders, and providers in key initiatives. Ensures staff are appropriately trained and operating within in scope and at the top of their licensure/role. Ensures staff and providers have equipment, tools and resources to do their work. Maintains an understanding of daily functions to ensure delivery on all accountabilities and tasks. Identifies and communicates needs and/or changes that affect the work and escalates concerns as appropriate. Analyzes and act on employee engagement data. Maintains a strong presence, demonstrating awareness and involvement in clinic activities. Role model and mentor poise, presence, positive change influence. Communicates with and engage leaders and staff in key initiatives by sharing a clear, compelling vision that allows them to see their contribution and role in the work to ensure continuous improvement. Works with staff and physicians to develop and implement objectives for the provision of safe and effective patient care. Evaluates the effectiveness of policies and procedures and make recommendations for change. Skilled in the development of leaders at the site to manage staff and performance issues Identifies and acts on opportunities to improve patient experience. Leads new patient experience initiatives. Ensures staff and providers have knowledge of and access to patient experience feedback and initiatives. Addresses site level patient concerns. Represents Allina Health in the local community (community events, health fairs, community partnerships of various kinds) as appropriate. Collaboration and Team Work. Seeks opportunities to promote development and growth as a leader including meeting facilitation and representation locally, and across Allina Health Group. Shares best practices within region and across AHG. Models and promotes collaboration within business unit, between depts./staff/providers, and patients / customers to achieve results and improve performance. Overcomes barriers, creates internal and external relationships to meet both company and community needs. Ensures staff and key stakeholders are involved in timely communications and information sharing. Strategic and Program Planning. Develops new clinical service line programs and services. Develops and execute strategic planning and business development for programs and services for their location(s). Provides oversight for the implementation of new programs and services at their location(s). Coordinates service line activities at their location(s). Collaborates with leadership to plan, implement and manage operational initiatives and tactical plans, tracking operations performance against key performance indicators. Reviews and analyzes dashboards and reporting templates to highlight performance including variances. Develops business plans for new programs, services and markets to enhance existing programs in order to grow the local market share. Manages relationships with leaders, physicians, and external partners to gain confidence and engagement in strategic and operational initiatives. Participates in decision-making activities with executive management, internal and external stakeholders. Financial. Accountable for management of clinic financials, operating expenses, and productivity for overall clinic performance. Proactively reviews reports to assess and problem solve to align operating expenses and productivity. Identifies and plans for future capital needs and growth in partnerships with regional director. Ensures proper revenue cycle management workflows are in place and maintained. Collaborates with lead physician to manage provider productivity. Safety, Risk Management and Compliance. Accountability with Dyad partner to lead and develop a culture of safety and focus on High Reliability Organization. Ensures adherence to all safety, risk and compliance policies and procedures; Oversight of supervisors to ensure site is compliant with state regulations (hazardous waste, MNVFC, DME, etc.). Observes drills as appropriate to gauge level of preparedness and proactively address gaps. Participates in site safety meetings, rounding, audits and events as appropriate. Responsible for ensuring any regulatory and accreditation expectations have been met. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate's or Vocational degree required for legacy staff (staff who were hired into or already in positions where requirements changed after the staff was hired) Bachelor’s degree required. May consider those without a current Bachelor’s degree if they have strong clinic leadership background, and have completed either an Associates or a minimum of 60 credits towards a Bachelors and are willing to complete the Bachelors within 4 years 7+ years leadership experience required (5 years must include supervisory or management experience in healthcare operations) Preferred Qualifications Master's degree Physical Demands Light Work: Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience and education. Additional incentives may be available, including discretionary monetary bonuses, goal-based bonuses, and other financial incentives.
