Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Radiology Technologist \n Discipline: Allied Health Professional \n Duration: Ongoing \n Employment Type: Staff \n \n \n Up to $25,000 Sign-On bonus based on experience \n Shift : 8hrs Days \n Job type : Full Time \n Hours : 7:30a-4pm Monday-Friday \n Under the supervision of the Radiologist, the Radiologic Technologist II; 8-Hour shift shall provide radiographic services to patients. The senior technologist shall operate imaging equipment, image processing, prepare radiographic exam rooms, and maintain equipment and supplies. The senior technologist shall provide imaging service utilizing various modalities and in multiple environments including the Inpatient and Outpatient Operating Suites, Outpatient Imaging Facilities, the Patient Room, the Emergency Department and in the Department of Radiology. The radiologic technologist's performance and behavior shall be both reflective and supportive of the Mission Statement and Core Values of the hospital. Demographic information limited Patient Health Information as related to job function. \n \n \n Properly establish / confirm patient identity, verify Physicians order and obtain relevant patient history. \n Educate patient and explain procedure. \n Transfer patient to table and position patient for exam to be preformed. \n Continually monitor patient for safety and comfort, respect patient privacy. \n Practice proper technique selection, positioning and radiation safety to keep exposures ALARA. \n Monitor all images for the highest possible quality. \n Continually display professional communication skills and behavior toward all patients, family members and staff members. \n Constantly display satisfactory working knowledge of all radiographic equipment and use equipment in appropriate and safe manner. \n Be proficient with all department equipment and systems, Computerized Radiography, Information Services, and PACS and document all relevant information appropriately into systems as required. \n Demonstrate clinical competence, initiative and professionalism at all times. \n Adhere to all department and hospital policies, including, but not limited to: time and attendance, dress codes, Kronos, documentation of credentials and the use of image markers. \n Transport patients and assist other modalities with transportation of patients when necessary. \n Perform other duties requested by supervisors as needed, with in scope of practice. \n \n Required: \n \n Graduate of an accredited two year school of Radiologic Technology \n Current CA state license (CRT) required upon hire (must maintain current at all times) \n Current ARRT Registration or equivalent (ARMED SERVICES TRAINING) upon hire (must maintain current at all times) \n Fluoroscopy licensure upon hire or obtain within 120 days of hire (must maintain current at all times) \n Current American Heart Association BLS Certification required (maintain current at all times). \n Three years experience in a Radiologic setting. \n Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, physicians, visitors, and other staff members. \n \n LI-TM2 \n \n Tenet Desert Job ID View phone number on click.appcast.io.
