As a part of our team, you will work alongside like-minded individuals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what's possible.The Work This position is for a Systems Engineer to support the IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team on the Ground Based Mid-course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program. The candidate should have experience taking on progressively challenging responsibilities, demonstrating initiative, and driving innovative solutions. They should be recognized as a self-starter with a proven ability to lead teams, learn quickly, and deliver results in dynamic environments. In this role the candidate will perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition, system design, system integration & test, hardware fault analysis, hardware design (mechanical and electrical), hardware interfaces (mechanical and electrical), testing, and hardware to software interface definition as part of the IDT product team. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
