PostgreSQL Developer / Cloud Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Developer / Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL development, database migration, performance optimization, and AWS cloud engineering. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating databases from legacy RDBMS platforms to PostgreSQL and supporting cloud-based production environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases, schemas, tables, views, indexes, functions, procedures, and triggers.
Plan and execute migrations from Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or other RDBMS platforms to PostgreSQL.
Analyze source and target environments, migration risks, dependencies, and compatibility issues.
Perform database conversion, data transformation, validation, reconciliation, and post-migration testing.
Optimize SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, and PostgreSQL configurations.
Support backup, restore, replication, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Troubleshoot database performance issues and production incidents.
Collaborate with application, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams.
Support AWS-based database and application workloads.
Implement infrastructure as code, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
Support cloud networking, monitoring, access control, security, and scaling.
Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and production support.
Create technical documentation, migration plans, and operational procedures.
