Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Med Surg Oncology Team as a Travel RN!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Unit Focus: Caring for patients receiving chemotherapy
- Certification Requirement:
- ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Administration preferred
- Must be willing to obtain this certification prior to or during assignment
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years in an inpatient setting
- Experience in Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, and more


- Patient Ratios: 1:6
- Call Requirement: Yes - if called off on a prescheduled shift
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating Required: To similar units and alternate care locations

- Skills Required:
- Accessing/Managing Ports
- Administration of chemotherapy
- Blood Product Administration
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Wound Care/Wound Vac


- Patient Diagnoses:
- General medical-surgical diagnosis
- Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy
- AKI, Cancer, Sepsis, and more


- Unit Orientation: 24 hours (2 shifts)
- Scrubs Required: Navy Blue and White


- Attendance at monthly staff meetings is mandatory.
