FLC Contracting, LLC is looking to add a Construction Assistant to our team.

General Description:

The Construction Assistant is responsible for assisting Project Managers and/or Superintendents in coordinating the activities of a project.  Working directly with the PM, the Construction Assistant is expected to take on any/all tasks to assure the project runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of construction experience and familiar with Procore, Spectrum/Viewpoint software, DocuSign and Microsoft Excel.

General Responsibilities:

• Positive approach to daily task
• Assist the Project Manager throughout all phases and aspects of the project.
  
• Utilize Procore and other project management software to maintain project documentation and facilitate communication among project stakeholders.
• Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to Project Managers and other members of the management team.
• Coordinate and assist with pre-installation meetings, including preparation of agendas, meeting materials, and follow-up documentation.
  
• Receive, organize, maintain  and process all contract documents with clients and owners.
• Distribute all short interval and overall project schedules. Ensure subcontractors have the most up to date scopes of work.  Assist PM in the development of the overall project schedule.
• Ensure contracts, insurance, bonds and required documentations are current and received before subcontractor performs any work on site. Follow up on collection of all non-received documents and escalate any issues to the Project Manager.
  
• Prepare project meeting agendas, distribute supporting documentation, and document meeting outcomes as directed by the Project Manager. 
• Draft, submit, and track all RFI’s and distribute to all team members as appropriate. Pursue and monitor submittals. Verify all submittal conformity to plans & specifications.
• Distribute all punch lists and the follow-up as necessary to ensure timely completion of punch list work.
• Collect, organize and assemble all required project closeout documentation, including warranties, certifications, manuals and final compliance documents. 
• Address deficiencies in closeout documentation directly with subcontractors and vendors to ensure complete and timely project closeout.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by demonstrating responsiveness and reinforcing the company's commitment to exceptional service. 
• Demonstrate effective relationship building within the project team and throughout the Company. Keep field team members (i.e. Superintendent) informed and active in decision-making.
• Promote positive subcontractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors instilling this philosophy in project team at all times.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of project administration. 
• Works cooperatively with team members to achieve shared goals and organizational objectives.
  
• Exhibit a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for delivering high-quality results. 
• Consistently demonstrate initiative, accountability, and a sense of urgency in completing tasks on time and to a high standard. 
• Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving while ensuring all project responsibilities are executed thoroughly and efficiently.
