Assistant General Manager

Assistant General Manager – WoodSpring Suites (Anderson, SC) Hotel Management & Consulting is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager to lead operations in the absence of the General Manager, assist them with leading the team, and ensure service standards are consistently exceeded. Career Growth opportunities within the company. Primary Duties Train and provide guidance to staff, discuss performance discrepancies, and attend and lead staff huddles to ensure outstanding results. Post checks in PMS, complete weekly labor tracker, manage payment due reports, postpaid outs and receipts. Ensure the hotel is always “Guest Ready” by maintaining cleanliness, addressing concerns, monitoring feedback, selling amenities, and ensuring security. Assign rooms for housekeeping, assist GM in inspecting rooms. Manage inventory, check property email, build vendor and guest relationships, and foster teamwork. Network within the local community to promote the property, build relationships with competitive properties, local organizations, and key clients. Assist with housekeeping in rooms as needed and perform daily laundry duties and public space cleaning; cover employee shifts to ensure continuity. Know and follow property emergency procedures and ensure security needs of property and guests are met. Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 1 year’s experience in hotel leadership, including front desk and back‑of‑house operations. Proficient computer skills. Strong team‑building skills. Excellent organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proactive in solving problems. Physical Requirements Tasks involving kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting, bending, and twisting for long periods. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 20 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
