This is a hands‑on accounting and reporting role inside a lean, entrepreneurial environment where accounting professionals are given broad exposure across financial reporting, technical accounting, operational support, acquisitions, and upstream accounting activities. This role combines: financial reporting operational analytics acquisition-related accounting exposure The environment is highly visible and offers direct interaction with leadership while supporting a growing upstream platform. What You’ll Actually Be Doing Prepare quarterly and annual financial reporting packages and supporting schedules Assist with monthly close activities, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting deliverables Support GAAP accounting policy implementation and technical accounting research Participate in accounting activities tied to producing properties, depletion, impairment, and asset retirement obligations Support hedge and derivative-related accounting functions Coordinate audit requests, tax support, and outside reporting requirements Assist with internal controls, accounting documentation, and process improvements Support acquisition-related accounting projects and operational initiatives Work closely with leadership in a lean, highly visible accounting environment What the Role Feels Like This is not a large corporate accounting environment with narrow responsibilities and multiple layers of bureaucracy.
