Store Manager

Location: 6002 St Andrews Rd, Columbia, South Carolina 29212 Availability: Flexible availability for various shifts and days. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred. Experience in retail sales preferred. Experience to perform essential duties, responsibilities, and working conditions as described. Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials listed in the Customer Service Representative (CSR) and Assistant Site Manager (ASM) job description. Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in the CSR and ASM job description. Ability to use a computer and acquire necessary skills for site reporting, inventory control, cash control, and counseling notices. A valid driver’s license and adequate transportation to bank and corporate management meetings. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English. Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by supervisor. Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Skills Leadership and Management Recruit, hire, and train enthusiastic employees, ensuring excellent customer service. Develop, manage, and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, adequately stocked, and well organized. Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors. Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image. Implement non-discriminatory management skills while hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees. Site Relationships Develop positive and professional relationships with all suppliers. Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner. Promote and ensure a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community. Training and Development Prepare ongoing and timely performance appraisals in writing for all employees, providing proper feedback. Train all employees to meet company standards for customer service, site image, and marketing execution. Train all employees on safety procedures and promote safety awareness. Communication Develop efficient methods to ensure all employees receive timely communication. Establish periodic communication meetings with all site employees and the Market Manager. Organizing and Planning Evaluate and develop specific action plans to meet site needs and achieve objectives. Organize and maintain site files and manuals. Supervise employees to ensure accurate and timely completion of required reports. Ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced correctly. Maintain all required employment-related posters and signs in accessible locations. Financial Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits. Budget and forecast profit and loss lines, and manage merchandise margins. Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed. Perform additional financial analysis to maximize sales and profits. Working Conditions Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor tasks such as cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, and waste removal. Exposure to occasional cold temperatures while supervising in a walk-in cooler or freezer. Exposure to occasional noise. Work with minimal direction and supervision. Act as an effective manager, supervisor, and leader at all times.
