Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic

Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment; performs preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts; responds to emergency maintenance requests as required; assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints buildings structures; maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures; performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required; may obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed; maintains company vehicles, tools, and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.

Assume other responsibilities as required; meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobs; meet customer delivery requirements; meet quality requirements of all assigned processes; conduct all operations in a safe manner.

Good skills in the use of hand and power tools; job related experience is required; mathematical skills; understand and read wire diagrams; ability to read and comprehend instructions; ability to adapt to changing work priorities; work under time constraints and comply with OSHA regulations.

Valid Driver's license; Fort truck certified.
