About the Position

# Job Opportunity – PACU Registered Nurse – Pennsylvania

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts (11:00 AM - 11:30 PM) with on-call requirements. Schedule includes 2 on-call shifts Monday-Friday and 1 on-call 12-hour shift on weekends within a 6-week rotation. One summer and one winter on-call holiday required. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• Level I Trauma Center environment with diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics
• Post-surgical and post-procedural recovery care including complex cases: craniotomies, transplants, cardiac procedures, interventional radiology, trauma, and GI procedures
• 2:1 patient ratio with 12-bed unit and daily census of approximately 30 patients
• Charting system: Cerner Aecis Surgi Net
• Possible float to GI or Pain Center as needed
• Scrubs provided; 16 hours of orientation
• First-time travelers are welcome

Requirements:

• Active Pennsylvania RN license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience required
• Critical Care or PACU experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience and ICU background required
• Preferred: SICU, MICU, and CTICU experience; previous charge experience
• Certifications required: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, BLS (current and valid)
• Valid professional references and certification documentation
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Completion of Pennsylvania fingerprinting and childline clearance
• Ability to complete required compliance items including labs within 48 hours of contract signing
