Neurohospitalist

The Hartford HealthCare Ayer Neuroscience Institute is seeking a part-time Neurohospitalist to join Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, Connecticut. This consultative role involves working up and caring for acute neurological issues across the Emergency Department, medical and surgical floors, and ICUs. Providers will enjoy a collaborative care model within a picturesque community hospital setting. Practice Info Neurology in the Northwest Region is a consultative service only 109 bed community hospital in beautiful Northwest Corner of CT Responsibilities Work up and care for a wide range of acute neurological issues in the Emergency Department, medical and surgical floors, and medical and surgical ICUs Participate in activities such as clinical research, quality improvement, patient experience initiatives, resident and faculty interviews, and lectures to professional or public audiences Compensation This is a salaried position Actual pay will be determined based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and other factors that may include hire bonuses, incentive pay plans, loan repayment, administrative stipends, or relocation Benefits Health benefits 401K with Match CME allowance and more Paid Malpractice with 100% Tail Coverage Board certifications and licenses paid Stipend for CME available Shift & Schedule 12 weeks per year The Schedule consists of 12 weeks of inpatient coverage per year A week is defined as 7 consecutive days of an 8AM- 8PM schedule, with a share of telephone-based evening call coverage Qualifications BC/BE Neurologists Comfort with acute stroke care is essential Willingness to provide hands-on clinical supervision and teaching of our advanced practice providers is preferred
