Job Summary: Application Developers / Programmers write, code, build, test, and implement the software code that enables computer systems to perform specific tasks. They design the logic that delivers the computing system functionality. They also test the application and develop enhancements that enable a positive end user experience. Essentially, they produce application programs in accordance with a specified business need. Typically, they work as a part of a project team, and also communicate progress, technical issues, and the resolution.

Work Experience / Qualifications
• 4+ years of JavaScript experience, preferably using React.js
• 4+ years of PHP experience, preferably using Wordpress
• 2+ users experience developing or consuming a content management system
• 2+ years utilizing APIs or microservices, including familiarity with at least two popular authentication protocols such as oauth
• Knowledge of standard source code management and build tools such as Jira, Git, GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Experience working in Agile (Scrum or Kanban) methodology
• Experience working in very small and matrixed teams
• Familiarity with all stages of SDLC, including ticket refinement, unit testing, functional testing, and deployment.

Required Skills
• Understand business requirements and translate into technical design specifications
• Utilize applicable application configuration and development toolsets to build, configure and/or test solutions that adhere to design specification and business requirements.
• Provide t-shirt size estimates as well as detailed estimates through product and sprint grooming processes
• Lead design and implementation of new user stories and bug fixes.
• Provide technical direction and support to the rest of your team
• Ability to guide teams to ensure application features are of highest standard & meet business priorities
• Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision
• Perform unit, QA and/or load testing where applicable. Write test scripts, define test data, and think through boundary conditions and code paths. Comprehensive testing covering all aspects of an application: performance, security, usability, and end-user experience.
• High degree of commitment, independence, and self-motivation; enthusiasm for challenging work
• Stay current on new technologies and trends, and proactively expand technical and functional skills within their Application Areas.
• Clearly communicate with technical and non-technical team members, verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates resiliency when met with challenges or setbacks


Highly Desirable Skills & Experience
• Must be a self-starter - as a member of a small team, you will be expected to lead your own deliverables without much oversight
• Working understanding of linux, apache, nginx, AWS EC2, Cloudfront, IAM
• Experience in Media & Entertainment Industry
• Consumer Products experience preferred
• Experience with Wordpress or Salesforce
• Comfortable with CI/CD
• Experience with multiple react hosting mechanisms, such as S3 buckets or nginx proxying

• VS Code
