Pain Management Physician

Rochester Regional Health is recruiting a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pain Management Physician to join its integrated Neuroscience Institute. This hospital-employed position offers a broad clinical scope, established referral pathways, and centralized operational support within a growing health system. Role & Clinical Practice Multidisciplinary neuroscience model including Pain Medicine, PM&R, Neurology, and Neurosurgery Primarily outpatient practice with inpatient pain consults Interventional and non-interventional pain management Procedures include injections, advanced pain procedures and implants, neuromodulation, and ultrasound-guided techniques Cancer-related pain exposure available (not required) Practice across multiple outpatient locations within the system Practice Structure & Support Full-time position Shared call model in development with anticipated resident support APP support aligned with patient volume Dedicated RN/LPN/RT teams for procedural locations Centralized scheduling, nurse triage, and prior authorizations Onsite medical assistants and patient check-in staff Modern outpatient facilities with access to advanced imaging Compensation & Benefits Two-year guaranteed base salary RVU-based incentive compensation model thereafter $50,000 sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Four weeks PTO and $3,500 CME allowance Comprehensive health, dental, life, disability, and malpractice coverage Defined benefit pension plan Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Qualifications & Location MD or DO; BC/BE in Pain Medicine via PM&R or Anesthesiology Psychiatry with pain specialization considered New graduates welcome H-1B visa candidates considered; J-1 visa sponsorship not available Rochester offers a low cost of living, manageable commute times, access to the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario, and convenient travel to major Northeast hubs This position is well suited for physicians seeking a stable, system-supported pain practice with clinical breadth, operational clarity, and long-term sustainability.
