Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

This position will be located at a dedicated facility offering comprehensive maternity services, including a Level II NICU. The role requires expertise in high-risk perinatal care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and antepartum settings.
• Deliver care to patients in a 1:1 ratio during labor and manage couplets in postpartum at a ratio of 1:3 with CNA support.
• Conduct triage evaluations, collaborating with a team of skilled RNs.
• Assist in surgical procedures and manage patient care in a Level III facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a labor and delivery setting.
• First-time candidates are encouraged to apply; all applications will be considered.
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring.

Unit Information

• Capacity for high-risk perinatal care with 19 labor and delivery beds, 10 antepartum beds, and 30 postpartum beds.
• Equipped with 3 operating rooms and 2 PACU areas.
• Providing care under a supportive staffing model: 1:1 labor support, 1:3 couplets in postpartum, and additional support from CNAs.
• Triage staffed with 3 RNs per shift, ensuring efficient patient evaluation and care.

Additional Information

• Weekend work and floating to postpartum may be required.
• Guaranteed hours: Clinicians may be called off for one 12-hour shift per two-week period.
• Charting is performed using the EPIC system.
• Scrub color: Any, except reddish-orange is not permitted.
• Parking costs are covered by the facility.
