Role Description The Manager, Associate Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area.

We are seeking an experienced Renewal SDR Manager to lead and develop our frontline SDR team here at businessloans.com.

This role is focused on re-engaging our existing customer base, developing meaningful customer conversations, and creating high-quality opportunities for our Account Managers.

The ideal candidate understands or is willing to learn the small business lending sales cycle and is eager to learn the Account Managers' renewal process, lender programs, and underwriting requirements. They will use this knowledge to create effective training, coach SDRs, and build a strong frontline team that consistently delivers qualified opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Coach the SDR Team

Manage, motivate, and develop a team of Renewal SDRs.

Conduct regular 1:1s, call reviews, role plays, and coaching sessions.

Coach SDRs on discovery, objection handling, customer engagement, and qualification.

Help SDRs move beyond scripted conversations to meaningful discussions that uncover customer financing needs.

Set clear expectations around activity, quality, conversion, and opportunity creation.

Identify performance gaps and create focused coaching plans.

Learn & Translate the Renewal Process

Develop a strong understanding of the Account Managers' renewal process, from qualification through application, underwriting, documentation, approval, and funding.

Learn what makes a renewal opportunity valuable and what information Account Managers need to successfully move it forward.

Build working knowledge of lender programs, qualification criteria, processes, and documentation requirements.

Partner with the Senior Renewals Manager and Account Managers to identify common SDR challenges and opportunities for improvement.

Turn this knowledge into practical training materials, call guides, discovery questions, and coaching tools.

Strengthen the SDR-to-AM Handoff

Ensure SDRs properly qualify and document opportunities before handing them to Account Managers.

Improve the quality and consistency of information captured during customer conversations.

Work closely with Account Managers to ensure SDRs understand what makes a strong opportunity.

Create a seamless experience for customers transitioning from the SDR team to Account Management.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Monitor team performance and key funnel metrics.

Identify trends and use data, call reviews, and AM feedback to improve SDR performance.

Continuously refine training, processes, and coaching based on real customer and lender experiences.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of sales experience, preferably in small business lending, business financing, fintech, financial services, or a brokerage environment.

Previous experience managing or coaching SDR/BDR or inside sales teams.

Strong understanding of the small business lending sales cycle.

Ability to quickly learn lender programs, processes, qualification requirements, and documentation.

Strong communication, discovery, coaching, and objection-handling skills.

Comfortable reviewing calls and providing direct, constructive feedback.

Data-driven and comfortable managing performance through CRM and sales metrics.

Hands-on leadership style with a strong focus on developing people and improving the quality of customer conversations.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means building a knowledgeable, confident, and accountable SDR team that can effectively re-engage existing customers, uncover financing needs, qualify opportunities, and provide Account Managers with strong, well-informed handoffs.

The Renewal SDR Manager serves as the bridge between the Account Management team's renewal expertise and the SDR team's frontline customer conversations.
