Respiratory Therapist – Respiratory Therapy

Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts; weekends required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience
• Active state license required prior to submission
• Preferred: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Other certifications: BLS, ACLS, CRT recommended
• Key clinical skills:
• Adult critical care and ventilator management
• Weaning from mechanical ventilation; troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
• HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care/collar management, extubation
• Airway management and suctioning (oral/nasal, nasal/oral airway placement)
• ABG interpretation and common inhaled/nebulized therapies

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care and management to adult and geriatric patient populations with respiratory conditions.
• Administer therapies including mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation techniques.
• Perform assessments and monitor patients' respiratory status, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-specific care plans.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and management techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic medical record system.

Compliance / Notes:

• Completion of Ohio fingerprinting required ASAP after contract signing.
• COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
• Strict credentialing deadline is the Tuesday prior to the start date.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
• Former employees eligible after 6 months away; current facility employees are ineligible.
• Education documentation required: High school diploma and college diploma/transcripts.
