Registered Nurse - Progressive Critical Care Unit

Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region. We seek experienced Registered Nurses who can effectively handle a diverse range of critical conditions including respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with complex medical and surgical needs.
• Administer and titrate IV medications including antihypertensive drips and sedation protocols.
• Utilize advanced hemodynamic monitoring techniques and devices such as CVP and EVD.
• Implement infection prevention protocols and manage complex treatment plans.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Schedule

This position requires a 7A - 7:30P shift, guaranteeing 36 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
• ACLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience in adult Progressive Critical Care Units or community hospital ICU is preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
