Job Title

Specific responsibilities for this position are stated below but not limited to:

• Check in monthly meds for houses under their responsibility.
• Responsibility for deposal of discontinued medications.
• Responsible for initial assessments of new residents within 72 hours of admission. Follow-up assessments are to be completed within 24 hours of a post hospital visit.
• Daily verification of documentation of medical records.
• Ensure that all medical appointments and follow-up appointments are made in a timely manner. Ensure that transportation to and from those appointments is arranged. Ensure that residents attend all scheduled appointments and that there is documentation to support any missed appointments.
• Administer shots when necessary.
• Ongoing training of staff regarding medication documentation.
• Have a complete understanding of all policies and procedures in the policy and procedure manual.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver's license or state ID
• Successful completion of a drug screen
• Background results within company standards (i.e. no assault, bodily harm, possession of weapons or drug charge)
• Must maintain professional nursing license
• Must have CPR & First aid or must complete MSHN CPR/first aid class within first thirty days of employment. Certification must be repeated every 2 years.
• Requires strong computer and Internet research skills, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
