About the Position: The Nurse II (County Staff Nurse) will provide public health nursing services primarily within a county health department clinic under the direction of a County Coordinating Nurse. Duties include conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, providing health education, referring patients to care, conducting disease control activities, performing direct patient care procedures, home visitation, and serving on emergency/disaster response teams.
What you'll need to be Successful: The candidate must have excellent team building, multitasking, organizational, and communication skills; prioritize work to meet deadlines and be an effective team player. Knowledge of MSDH programs and using that knowledge effectively to assist clients and/or patients are important.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires state licensure as a Registered Nurse and 1-2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
