Cocktail Server

About the Role The Lytle Park Hotel, part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality Group, is seeking an experienced Cocktail Server to deliver exceptional service in a Five‑Star setting. The role involves greeting, seating, order taking, cash handling, and ensuring guests receive high‑quality food and beverage service while maintaining a clean, professional environment. Key Responsibilities Greets guests and seats them in alternating sections of the restaurant promptly. Introduces menus, offers meal suggestions, and recommends appropriate wine selections. Places orders, presents checks to the kitchen, and records sales using the cash register. Follows cash handling procedures, maintains the cash bank, and balances checks at shift close. Serves orders promptly, ensuring garnish and presentation standards are met. Continuously monitors guest needs, bussing tables, and pouring beverages as required. Handles guest concerns proactively to ensure satisfaction. Is knowledgeable of all menu items, including preparation details and daily status. Completes side work such as polishing silverware, stocking condiments, sweeping, and cleaning as directed. Practices “clean as you go” method and meets sanitation standards. Reports tips daily and records them on the tip declaration sheet. Ensures alcohol‑awareness procedures (TIPS) are followed and reports incidents to management. Assists with room service, bartender, and lounge duties as needed. Can carry trays and move items weighing up to 30 pounds and stand for 8 consecutive hours. Follows emergency and life‑safety procedures and key‑control policies. Wears the proper uniform and nametag in accordance with appearance guidelines. Performs any additional duties deemed necessary by management. Qualifications 2–4 years of food service experience. Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits. Strong communication skills and a welcoming personality. Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment. Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. Engaging and descriptive sales ability. Proficient in cash handling and tip reporting. Compensation Base pay: $5.50 per hour plus tips.
