Responsibilities Staff Supervision: Direct and evaluate nursing and forensic staff to ensure effective patient care Care Oversight: Monitor treatment areas to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment Training Support: Provide orientation, education, and on-the-job training for nursing personnel Emergency Response: Address psychiatric emergencies and guide staff in safe intervention practices Performance Management: Coach, assess, and document employee performance and development needs Communication Coordination: Share important clinical information with teams, leadership, and support services Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) with rotating on and off duty days, including weekends and holidays, and a 30-minute lunch. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for notices Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years as a Forensic Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of professional nursing experience providing care, treatment, custody, and control of psychiatric patients Special Requirements: This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title You must be able to perform essential job functions Legal Requirements A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
