Job Summary And Qualifications Do you want to join an organization that invests in you as a Nurse Manager - Antepartum? At Medical City Dallas, you come first. This position will be accountable for the Maternal Fetal Institute (MFI) Clinic and accepts responsibility for all department functions of the Specialty Obstetric Referral Center (SORC). It requires an RN license and responsibility for critical thinking decisions within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act. The role also oversees the Antepartum department. The department manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The manager identifies cost‑effective systems needed to support the business of the department, taking into account business trends, resource availability, and changes in customers. The position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors, and is responsible for fiscal and human resource allocation based on guidelines. The manager develops plan of care for services based on RN assessment and re‑assessment and must maintain all requirements needed to function as a staff nurse in times of high census or minimal staffing.
