After School Children's Cooking Instructor

Overview SFC Jacksonville Inc., dba Sticky Fingers Cooking® of Northeast Florida is seeking a part-time After School Children\'s Cooking Instructor to help cultivate COOLinary Curiosity in Kids®. This position offers competitive compensation and flexible scheduling for the right candidate. Responsibilities Lead on-site, hour-long healthy cooking enrichment classes for students ages 3–18 at various locations in your area. Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging cooking activities using kid-tested and approved recipes. Review weekly class curricula, shop for fresh ingredients, and teach basic kitchen skills (washing, cutting, grating, stirring, measuring) as well as nutrition, history, geography, and language behind each recipe. Create a dynamic, hands-on learning environment and encourage healthy food habits in children. Interact with children, parents, and school staff in a professional and timely manner; maintain a positive presence in the kitchen. Qualifications Availability at least 2 days a week (Monday–Friday, between 1–5 pm). Commitment to teaching full sessions (ranging from 4–12 weeks). ServSafe Food Handler Certification (can obtain before teaching). Ability to manage and engage a group of 8–14 children with diverse backgrounds and academic levels. Pass a background check upon hire. Access to reliable transportation. Ability to communicate with the team in a timely manner; punctual and reliable. No professional cooking experience required; experience with kids is a plus. Compensation & Schedule Position pays a starting wage of $60.00 per one-hour class plus food reimbursement. Choose which days work best for you with the option to work holidays or weekends. School assignments will be as close to your home/work as possible.
