Property Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Technician to join our team and oversee the maintenance of over 50 properties across the state. This role involves performing unit turnovers when new tenants move in, handling work orders sent to your phone, and performing a variety of maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit turnovers when new tenants move in.
• Receive and complete work orders sent to your phone.
• Conduct painting tasks as needed.
• Perform light plumbing tasks, including snaking drains, fixing toilets, and installing new sinks.
• Patch drywalls and sheetrock.
• Replace light bulbs.
• Maintain grounds as needed.
• Repair or replace light fixtures.
• Conduct light carpentry work, such as fixing door frames or handrails.
• Assist with tasks not requiring licensed tradesmen.
• Ride along with another worker while on contract and eventually drive a company vehicle, requiring a valid driver's license.

Essential Skills

• Experience in painting, drywall repair, and sheetrock maintenance.
• Proficiency in building and property maintenance.
• Ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Skills in carpentry, electrical work, preventive maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, janitorial services, and cleaning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• HVAC repair experience, including changing filters.
• Experience with A/C split units.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Work Environment

Work in apartment units across the state, starting each day at the shop in West Haven. You will travel in work vehicles with another employee to various locations where maintenance tickets require attention. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Haven, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.66 - $22.66/hr.
