This is a remote, part-time, on-call position, meaning workdays and times will be determined on an as-needed basis. The Archaeology Technician primarily performs fieldwork under the supervision of a Crew Chief, Field Director and/or Principal Investigator. Field projects will primarily be in the PNW (Oregon and Washington State) with the opportunity for additional projects as they present . Candidates will need flexibility to travel overnight for field work sessions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Conduct archaeological field work under the guidance of a field supervisor. - Identify and document cultural resources - Follow Health and Safety protocols and adhere to all AECOM procedures. - Assist the field supervisor with technical aspects of field work. - Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories under supervision.

Minimum Qualifications: - High School graduate + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in archaeological fieldwork. - Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification are required. - Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or related field. - 3+ years of experience with a wide range of field methodologies, including archaeological survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring. - Completion of an archaeological field school is highly desired. - Experience with Geospatial technology including GPS and GIS. - Computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
