About the Position

AlliedTravelCareers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified MRI Tech in Pontiac, Michigan, 48340!

Shift is 230p-3A + EOW rotation

• Advanced Imaging: Perform high-quality MRI and MRA procedures using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment.

• Protocol Adjustment: Review physician orders and clinical indicators; evaluate and modify standard scanning protocols based on specific patient anatomy and pathology.

• Patient Safety & Care: Screen patients, staff, and visitors for MR safety before entering the magnet room. Deliver compassionate, age-specific care while ensuring patient comfort and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).

• Workflow Autonomy: Manage evening shift workflows independently, troubleshooting basic system errors and prioritizing urgent or emergency/acute care scans.

• Clinical Collaboration: Coordinate dynamically with radiologists, emergency staff, and referring physicians to communicate critical findings and ensure seamless image data transfer via PACS.

• Documentation: Maintain precise digital charting and patient records using the facility’s electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an approved, accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program.

• Certifications:

  • Current ARRT(R) with advanced registry in MRI (ARRT) OR ARMRIT certification.

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

• Experience: 1–2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist in an acute care or high-volume hospital setting is highly preferred.

• Skills: Strong critical-thinking skills, deep understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, MR safety protocols, and the ability to adapt rapidly to new facility workflows.
