Role Overview : As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in delivering quality and compassionate patient care. You¿ll support providers and nursing leadership by performing administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring a seamless and positive patient experience. Your contributions directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care in our ambulatory settings.

What You Will Do :

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment.
• Obtain and document accurate medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed.
• Perform clinical tasks under the supervision of providers or nursing leadership.
• Support administrative duties to maintain smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a 160-hour clinical externship, OR one year of clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, OR current professionally recognized Medical Assistant Certification with one year of experience, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/EMT with one year of clinical experience, OR military-trained medical personnel with one year of clinical experience.
• Current BLS-C certification upon hire or by the end of orientation.

Preferred

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
