Residential Counselor / Direct Support Professional: Weekend Day 10am to 10pm

Job TitleUnder the direction and supervision of the House Manager (or Residential Program Manager), the position assists with providing direct care and supports to the participants that agency supports in our residential group homes in a ratio of 1:1 up to 1:3 in the home, in the community, and employment environment.Essential FunctionsWork with residents, assisting them with the activities of daily living: teaching money management, housekeeping, cooking, personal care and hygiene, socialization with roommates and persons in the community, and appropriate use of leisure time.Develop and maintain warm, clean, and safe home environment which is conducive to optimal development of the resident.Implement the individual activity schedule of the resident. Document all activities on the weekly activity schedule.Participate in the development of, and implementation of the participants' Person-Centered Plan (PCP). Document any changes to the resident's program in the approved PCP prior to implementation.Work with the Residential House Manager to account for the individual funds of the resident.
