Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, location unspecified. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for high-acuity and critically ill neonates. The position requires managing infants needing advanced respiratory support and therapeutic cooling, with a focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Job Details Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse license, Basic Life Support certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification, 4 years of NICU experience, and neonatal intensive care specialty expertise. Preferred Qualifications: Strong experience caring for high-acuity neonates, therapeutic cooling expertise, and prior travel experience preferred. Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically complex neonates. Manage infants requiring therapeutic hypothermia/cooling. Care for high-acuity patients requiring advanced respiratory and hemodynamic support with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP/NIPPV, and high-flow oxygen. Monitor and administer IV medications, continuous infusions, TPN, and blood products. Recognize signs of neonatal deterioration and respond promptly in emergency situations. Participate in neonatal resuscitation, stabilization, and assessments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and pharmacists. Offer education and emotional support to parents and families. Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation. Additional Information: The ideal candidate has 3-4 years of NICU Level III experience, hands-on therapeutic cooling experience, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
