This position is 100% remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while maintaining a strong connection with clients through our telehealth infrastructure. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations during initial consultations, documenting comprehensive case histories that will guide treatment decisions.

  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans that address clients' unique mental, emotional, and behavioral needs for individuals, couples, families, and groups.

  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to foster healing and growth.

  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to enhance recovery outcomes and ensure adherence to established therapeutic goals.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to create cohesive intervention strategies for clients requiring multidisciplinary care.

  • Provide follow-up care and coordination with primary care physicians for clients who have been hospitalized or require additional medical services.

  • Enable family involvement in treatment plans aimed at equipping loved ones with tools to support clients facing mental health challenges.

  • Consistently stay updated on the latest developments in psychotherapy and mental health standards to deliver the highest quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse clientele in Yonkers and surrounding areas, including individuals from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Your role will focus on treating a broad spectrum of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction, ensuring that your approaches are culturally sensitive and tailored to each client's specific circumstances.

Qualifications\n

  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York is essential.
  • \n
  • A passing score on the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is necessary.

  • Demonstrated clinical experience as a mental health counselor with the ability to manage complex cases autonomously.

  • Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically proficiency in systems similar to AVATAR, to streamline client management.

  • Knowledge of the impact of substance use disorders and relevant therapeutic approaches to support recovery.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively document cases, interact with clients, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills marked by empathy, patience, and active listening capabilities.

Preferred Experience\n

  • Prior experience in a remote counseling role or an understanding of telehealth best practices.

  • Experience working with family systems therapy or group dynamics, which can enhance treatment methodologies.

  • Specialization in particular therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or trauma-informed care is highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
