We offer:A great place to work with a friendly team of employeesCompetitive pay with the opportunity to work overtimeA benefits package that includes company medical contribution towards the Health Savings AccountDental & Vision insuranceLife insurance as well as short- & long-term disabilityAll full-time employees are eligible the first of month following 30 days of employmentA 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with matchJob Location: 3363 South Halstead Road Halstead, KS 67056Duties and Responsibilities:Drive company vehicle to deliver lumber & building materials, as well as hardware and other building supplies to customer's home, construction site or place of businessVerify order details and obtain customer signatureRecord all pertinent delivery information as needed for accurate trackingCollect and organize required paperwork for delivery and transfer activityTreat all customers with courtesy and respect, including listening to and assisting in resolving customer complaintsReport customer complaints or requests in a timely mannerCollect or picks up empty containers, rejected merchandise from delivery sites as directedLoad vehicle safely and accuratelyMaintain the appearance of the inside and outside of delivery vehiclesPerform routine safety check on vehiclesAssist yard and warehouse with stocking, loading and organizing materialsAssist customers with loading material and product questions when not drivingFollow Standard Operating Procedures while carrying out the responsibilities of positionComply with all company safety standards, and all federal, state, and local lawsAttend all store meetings and training sessions.QualificationsClass A CDL requiredAbility to read and comprehend instructions.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employeesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measureAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructionsAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsMust be able to meet the driver eligibility guidelines of the CompanyMust successfully complete all Company training and certification requirements regarding equipment usage, including obtaining forklift certificationCan read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway signs and signals and to respond to official inquiriesCan safely operate the type of commercial motor vehicle he/she drivesIs physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMCSR requirementsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
