American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a 13-week Medical Telemetry position requiring compact or OK RN licensure and cardiac telemetry experience. Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS certification through AHA Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start Responsibilities Acute care hospital setting on a 28-bed Acute 9 East unit Cardio Pulmonary adult patients and neuro overflow adult patients Unit provides cardiac telemetry and continuous pulse oximeter monitoring Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5-6 Unit supported by PCTs, a Healthcare Unit Coordinator, monitor techs, and virtual sitter monitoring Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00 13-week assignment length Weekend requirement of up to 6 shifts within a 6-week scheduling period Holiday coverage required based on department needs Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols Implement and monitor patient care plans while recording and communicating patient condition Serve as a primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care Carry out physician and nursing orders as directed Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team Requires strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required Must reside outside the facility's radius rule area to qualify for full travel rate; local candidates within the radius may be considered at a reduced rate First-time travelers may be considered for this role Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr
