As part of the Telehealth Early Childhood Services program team, the Clinician is responsible for serving families with 0-3 age children. Responsibilities include program implementation via videoconferencing intervention methods; Services include assessments, psychosocial intakes through both individual and group modalities. Early Childhood Services will also provide education, prevention and early intervention services to vulnerable families in order to ensure nurturing care and grounding of early childhood protective factors.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in social work or a related field
• Registered in the State of California by the of Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology (must be obtained within 120 days of hire)
• Bilingual Spanish highly desired
• Experience working with young children and/or families with children 0-3 years of age, including assessments, education and development
• Current unrestricted CA Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
• Experience providing direct service through in-home visiting, clinic setting, early learning or family resource center
• Ability to impart information to families both in one-on-one and group settings
• Skills to assess and develop connections with community resources needed for families within specific neighborhoods
• Experience with strength-based and reflective coaching methods and strategies preferred
• Experiences working with diverse populations, socioeconomically challenged, underserved and multi-cultural communities
• Solid decision-making, problem solving and time management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, set priorities and complete projects within specified timeframes
• Excellent computer skills, (Microsoft Suite) including knowledge of teleconferencing platforms
• Stellar written and verbal communication skills
• Must be computer literate in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural population
• Must pass a criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment

Responsibilities/Essential Functions :

• In collaborative teamwork with Early Childhood Director and Parent Coach/Concierge, implement program interventions via video conferencing and in-person methods
• Complete evidence-based curriculum model training of program intervention model and maintain team integrity to design and all updates required
• Provide program delivery services, which includes assessments, psychosocial intakes and treatment planning, to families with children 0-3 years of age, in the areas of prenatal and postnatal care, parent-infant attachment, child development, home safety and other maternal and child health related topics
• Provide individual and group support to families via teleconference/telehealth
• Provide short term direct mental health/family counseling intervention as needed
• Provide timely documentation and requirements for statistical reporting
• Advocacy as needed with outside agencies
• Assist in recruiting of families to be part of neighborhood cohorts
• Other duties as assigned
• Hours towards licensure available but not guaranteed
