Reference Data Product Owner - Associate

As a Reference Data Product Owner in the Reference Data team, you will work closely with Line of Business stakeholders, subject matter experts, consumers and technology teams across the Firm. Product Owners play a crucial role in project planning, execution, and tracking to ensure successful delivery. Following the Agile project methodology, you will participate in daily scrum calls, back log reviews and sprint planning. You will coordinate tasks across multiple workstreams, identify and solution risks and issues, and monitor progress against delivery timelines to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collect and document detailed business requirements from stakeholders
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing cycles by partnering with key stakeholders to validate business requirements and ensure quality deliverables
• Articulate the product vision and strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives. 
• Organize, schedule, coordinate, and control project activities and resources.
• Provide training and support to users, helping them understand the data product. 
• Identify issues and risks, define mitigation strategies, and manage risk communication or escalation processes.
• Gather user feedback on the product to enhance functionality and user experience. 
• Handle multiple deliverables concurrently to deliver high quality results in committed timeframes

 

  Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in product, financial services, technology, project management, or other relevant fields.
• Ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
• Strong data analysis and visualization skillsets
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written) for engaging with business and technical stakeholders and management. 
• Experience working on projects that involve interaction with various stakeholders and technology within a financial domain. 
• Strong oral and written communication skills 
• Strong partnership skills and experience influencing key stakeholders.
• Ability to perform in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

 

  Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Agile project management experience, including proficiency in agile project management tools (i.e., JIRA, Confluence, Lucid etc.)
• Knowledge of JIRA, SQL, Microsoft suite of applications, Databricks and data visualization/analytical tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Python) is a plus
• Experience with cross-functional team collaboration
• Ability to streamline workflows and improve product efficiency
