Must-Have: Techs must scrub and monitor cath lab and/or EP procedures. RNs must monitor and circulate cath lab and/or EP procedures. Advanced skills in BLS and ACLS are required. Cardiac Cath Lab and/or EP Lab experience is needed.

Description: The unit has 11 procedure rooms, including 5 for cath, 4 for EP, and 2 hybrid ORs. The patient ratio is 1 patient to 3 staff members. Staffing includes Cath/EP Techs and Cath/EP RNs. The type of equipment used includes GE and Philips x-ray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, and Merge Hemo. Documentation is handled through Merge Hemo and Meditech. Staff members will work 4 x 10 hour shifts. There is a floating policy allowing only for prep and recovery. The unit performs a variety of procedures, including diagnostic, PCI, Rotoblator, Laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, and Pernumbra. The EP lab conducts studies, pacemaker and ICD placements, ablations (excluding cryo ablations), micra pacemakers, loop recorders, and lead extractions, including laser lead extractions. The department is recognized as one of the top cardiac programs in the region and offers a growing array of cardiac modalities. The unit utilizes advanced equipment and technology.
