Marine Mechanic

Marine Mechanics are responsible for winterization and storage of a variety of marine vehicles. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Marina Manager.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high levels of customer service to the guests
• Troubleshoot, inspect, maintain, and repair boats of all varieties
• Winterization of various boats including both inboard and outboard engines
• Engine tune-ups including, but not limited to, water pumps, thermostats, spark plugs, cap and rotor, belts
• Replace fuel/water separator filters
• Maintain the necessary service records on mechanical and structural systems
• Comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and procedures

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

• Customer service experience preferred
• Overall knowledge of marine systems required
• Boat winterization experience required
• Boating education certificate required

• Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to follow instructions and be a part of a team

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to lift to 100lbs.
• Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
• Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry lift, etc.
• Constant outdoor exposure to elements and weather

Pay Range: $25 - $35 per hour
