Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation for their Walnut Creek, California office. This role offers the opportunity to handle a diverse range of litigation matters, including wrongful death, premises liability, personal injury, construction, and business disputes. Duties Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions. Manage discovery processes and interface with clients and opposing counsel. Argue motions in court and attend mediations. Handle cases from inception to resolution, including trial participation. Collaborate with team members and receive mentorship from experienced partners. Requirements 1+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment. Experience with depositions, mediations, and trial preferred. Exceptional communication and advocacy skills. Ability to manage a caseload independently and work collaboratively. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admission to the State Bar of California.
