Role Overview: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides direct rehabilitation care within a skilled nursing facility, focusing on enhancing patients' functional abilities and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Develop, assess, and modify personalized treatment plans for patients based on physician referrals. Supervise and evaluate therapy staff, including OT assistants, aides, and students. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Engage in community health initiatives and uphold professional standards and confidentiality. Ensure patient safety, rights, and sanitation practices are followed. Assist in emergency procedures and demonstrate dependable attendance. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Qualifications & Skills Registered or licensed in the applicable state, with NBCOT certification preferred. Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (BSOT or MSOT). CPR certification required; renewal during employment is recommended. Proficient in Microsoft Office and email communication. Strong interpersonal, decision‑making, and judgment skills. Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and walking. Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to policies.
