American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist proficient in both mammography and DEXA imaging with 2+ years of experience.

Radiology-Mammography department setting

Performs routine and diagnostic breast imaging as well as DEXA bone density scans
Uses Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography System and Hologic Horizon DXA System
Routine breast imaging scheduled every 30 minutes, diagnostic breast imaging every 40 minutes, and DEXA scans every 20 minutes
Works alongside 1 scheduler and 1 other technologist
Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
26-week assignment

Minimum of 2 years experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
License required if applicable
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start for all licensed professionals
Proficiency in mammography and DEXA imaging required
Experience with diagnostic and routine breast imaging required

Responsibilities include greeting and preparing patients, positioning breasts and adjusting compression for imaging, minimizing radiation exposure, and documenting mammogram results
Maintains and troubleshoots mammography equipment and supplies
Forwards completed studies to radiologist for interpretation
Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
