Quality Inspector II

Overview Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring a Quality Inspector II to perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts, subassemblies, and major assemblies for aircraft manufacturing in Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities Perform detailed product inspections on in-process and finished goods, including First Article Inspections. Document product characteristics accurately with technical detail. Initiate quality notifications for any non-conforming products. Apply quality assurance procedures and requirements to hardware inspection and document reviews. Identify potential quality issues early to help prevent their occurrence. Communicate effectively with coworkers about quality issues needing resolution. Monitor the use of calibrated measuring instruments. Core Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience performing detailed product inspections. Preferred Qualifications Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers. Basic computer skills, including operating software and data entry. Pass color/vision testing. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages). Experience performing inspections using blueprints and specifications. Experience with SAP and other computer systems for data retrieval and configuration.
