Job Description:

Position: Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)

Location: Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts

Setting: Public Health & Teaching Hospital

Duration: 13 weeks

Schedule:

• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Night shift (7:00pm-7:30am)
• Must be available to work rotating days
• No set weekly schedule
• No block scheduling
• Every other weekend and holiday
• 48-hour schedules not available
• Employees working 36 hours/week required to work two major holidays during the holiday season

Travel Pay Package:

• $2,684 per week total. Includes base pay, housing, meals and incidentals

Local Pay Package:

• $2,268 per week total

Overview:

• Provide respiratory and pulmonary therapy services under physician direction
• Treat patients with a wide variety of respiratory conditions
• Cover multiple units throughout the facility including corrections, ventilator, and med-surg units
• Work with patients ranging from adults requiring acute respiratory care to long-term ventilator patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Support care in a public health and teaching hospital environment

Requirements:

• CRT or RRT accepted
• Current Massachusetts Respiratory Therapy license required
• BLS required by start date
• Must be flexible with rotating schedules and varied workdays
• Experience with sleep studies preferred but not required
• Experience with Pulmonary Function Testing (PFTs) preferred but not required
• Prior correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required
• Physical within one year required
• Tdap required
• TB (T-Spot or QuantiFERON Gold) within 3 months of start date required
• Hepatitis B declination accepted
• Flu vaccine preferred but not required
