QC Inspector

Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Control inspection of mechanical parts and electronic assemblies.\n\t• Experience with SMT and circuit board manufacturing including visual inspection to IPC Class 2 and Class 3 standards.\n\t• Metrology experience including proficiency in use of measuring tools such as height gauge, calipers, vision systems, micrometers, pin and thread gauges, etc.\n\t• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand dimensional requirements and basic GD&T.\nBroad background of experience weighted heavy in manufacturing and quality processes, proven ability to be a self-starter and work independently.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Supplier Quality experience a plus.\nStrong analytical skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with various groups within the organization.

Job Description
• The Quality Inspector will support the operations enterprise by validating compliance of material and assemblies to drawing and specification requirements. This position requires a broad range of experience that includes printed circuit boards, printed circuit board assemblies, flex circuit assemblies, mechanical hardware, cables, and various other parts/material as necessary. The role combines dimensional measurement, visual inspection, and testing to detect defects, document results, and prevent nonconforming products from progressing in production. \n\t• Conduct incoming inspections of supplier materials including mechanical and electronic assemblies, utilizing drawings, various industry standards (IPC-A-610), and inspection tools.\n\t• Conduct pre-shipment audits/inspections of completed customer systems.\n\t• Participate in quality containment activities on purchased material, subassemblies or finished goods as required.\n\t• Communicate quality issues effectively with suppliers, engineers, and operations team members.\n\t• Document all findings in company systems using photos, MS Word, and directly into our ERP system.\n\t• Process First Article Inspection on new or updated parts/items.\nSupport the implementation, review, and improvement of the Mastodon Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that processes and products comply with applicable quality and customer requirements
