Job Title: RN Emergency Room Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current registered nurse license to practice in the state of Ohio Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: ACLS/PALS may be required based on clinical needs Description: Provides safe and efficient age-specific nursing care to patients and families using the nursing process. Assists patients in attaining, maintaining, regaining, and sustaining optimal health status. Implements the nursing process by delivering effective, relationship-based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive patient outcomes. Acts as a clear communicator and collaborates effectively to optimize patient care. Develops self professionally and contributes to the practice of nursing. Knowledge of nursing processes and practices is essential. Utilizes a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies. This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. Serves both adult and pediatric patients ages 0-100+ years. Functions within a Level 3 Trauma Center, Stroke and Chest Pain Center. BLS, PALS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are necessary.
